How we review
A recommendation is only worth as much as the evidence behind it. Here is exactly what ours rests on.
What we assess
- Who the program is genuinely built for, based on how it is structured.
- The learning style it rewards: listening, short sessions, grammar, conversation.
- How the course is delivered and what a typical week of use looks like.
- Whether it suits a stated goal such as travel, family or work.
What we will not claim
- Prices, discounts or promotions we have not verified on the day of publication.
- Refund or trial terms unless we have confirmed them with the provider.
- Star ratings or scores before our own hands-on testing is complete.
- Invented user counts, testimonials, popularity claims or countdown scarcity.
- Commission rates, conversion rates or partner terms that have not been supplied.
How we label evidence
Every claim on this site is one of three things, and we tell you which: something the provider states about its own product, something we have verified ourselves, or something we have not yet checked. When the third applies, the page says “not verified”.
How money affects what you see
We intend to earn commission through approved affiliate partnerships. Two applications — Rocket Languages and Babbel via Perform[cb] — have been submitted and are awaiting approval. Until a partner approves us and we have tested tracking end to end, no outbound partner link is live anywhere on this site. Ordering is decided by fit and by verified performance data, never by commission alone.
When we change our mind
If evidence changes — a program alters its format, a term we relied on turns out to be wrong, or our own testing contradicts an earlier note — we update the page and say what changed.
